Graham Haynes: Killing Time And Carving Space

Two programs of innovative music from two distinctive and influential composer-performers with extensive histories around the world.

Composer and cornetist Graham Haynes presents Killing Time Carving Space for solo cornet with electronics, plus world premieres of two new chamber works: String Quartet no. 1with The Momenta Quartet, and Prelude and Fugue for Flutes, with the Graham Haynes Flute Ensemble, with Michel Gentile, Anders Bostrom, Mayu Saeki, Domenica Fossati, and Jamie Baum.

Trombonist and composer David Taylor presents Big Stories for a Small Group, featuring his band David Taylor and the Calithumpians, with Taylor (bass trombone and vocals), Ron Stabinsky (piano and vocals), Moppa Elliot (double bass and vocals), and Kevin Shea (percussion and vocals). Featuring texts by Johann Friedrich Von Schiller, Hippocrates, Black Sabbath, Dante, Led Zeppelin, and Heinrich Heine.
